SUPPORTING Czech psychedelic research

About us

Welcome to our PSYRES foundation for psychedelic research website.

As the name suggests, the foundation’s mission is to secure financial support for Czech scientific projects and workplaces which focus on innovative treatment procedures of mental illnesses. Naturally, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy belongs to this category.

Although it is not very publicly known, psychedelic research has a long tradition in our country.

J. E. Purkyně experimented with nutmeg and deadly nightshade as early as in the 19th century. Prior to the 2nd World War, Dr Svetozar Nevole published his study about mescaline and its effect on a person’s mental activity. Later, psychoactive substances were experimented on by Dr Stanislav Grof, Dr Jiří Roubíček, and the research group of Dr Miloš Vojtěchovský which was already focusing on their psychotherapeutic use.

Even though the studies of the therapeutic potential of psychedelics was internationally stopped in the 1970s, with the new millennium we are experiencing a renaissance of promising research.

The goal of our foundation is to support the research and studies of psychedelic substances, their use in pharmacology, psychology, addictology, and psychiatry. With our activities, we help to prepare and realize clinical studies, analysis, and educational events.

We collaborate with doctors, therapists, and researchers who dive deep into the potentials of altering one’s consciousness.

We are partnered  with important Czech and international institutions.

Sympathizers of the promising Czech psychedelic research are actively being sought out not only philanthropists, but in the public community as well.

We are convinced that the utilization of psychedelics in clinical medicine can bring a significant change in the way we treat mental illnesses, and that it can secure new knowledge about the essence of human consciousness.

With your help, we will reach these goals!
